This painting is a return to a place I carry with me. Jardim da Parada, a public park where I spent most of my childhood and youth. The piece captures a corner of it, the tables where the elders would gather to play cards, the quiet rhythm of an afternoon that always felt like it could last forever. Simple, familiar and full of something that is hard to name but easy to recognise.
