Acrylic and oil on canvas, 70 × 100 cm, 2025
Inspired by a lemon tree that, unlike us, was never confined to a pot. It grew where it was planted and simply became what it was meant to be.
This painting reflects on the boundaries we build around ourselves: the containers of habit, expectation and fear that keep us small and safe. We prune our own instincts and trim our wildness to fit. The lemon tree knows nothing of this. It reaches, spreads and bears fruit without asking permission.
The work is an invitation to remember what we were before we learned to stay within the edges, and to consider what we might become if we let our roots go deeper than the pot allows.
Frame not included. Includes a signed certificate of authenticity.
